Planning Your Trip

Getting to Our Clinic

Our clinic sits inside Kamiloglu Hospital in Kyrenia (Girne), on the northern coast of Cyprus. Most patients are surprised by how straightforward the journey is, here is everything you need to plan it.

Flights

  • Ercan Airport (ECN): flights from London take approximately 4.5 hours, with a short touch-down in Turkey on most routes. Ercan is the closest airport, about 40 minutes from Kyrenia.
  • Larnaca Airport (LCA): the alternative in the south, served by direct flights from most UK airports (including easyJet and British Airways). The transfer to Kyrenia takes around 1.5 hours and crosses the border with a simple passport check.
  • Airlines: Turkish Airlines (via Istanbul) and Pegasus Airlines fly to Ercan; easyJet, Jet2 and others fly to Larnaca.

Accommodation

We partner with comfortable, quality hotels within a short drive of the clinic, starting from €40 per night, with mid-range and seafront options up to around €200. Your coordinator can book your accommodation for you and will recommend hotels suited to a treatment stay, quiet rooms, good food and close to the hospital. A typical IVF visit means 5–10 days in Cyprus, so many couples treat it as a restorative break by the Mediterranean rather than a medical trip.

Airport Transfers

  • Private transfers can be arranged by our team for both airports, your driver meets you in arrivals with your name, no taxi queues or haggling. Transfers cost around €50 each way.
  • Ercan Airport → clinic: approximately 30–40 minutes.
  • Larnaca Airport → clinic: approximately 1.5 hours, including the border crossing (keep your passport handy).

What to Bring

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Previous medical records and test results (printed or digital, both are fine)
  • A list of any medication you currently take, including supplements
  • Comfortable, loose clothing for procedure days and the days after transfer
  • UK travellers: Cyprus uses the same three-pin plugs as the UK on both sides of the island, so no adapter is needed

What You Can Expect From Us

We know that filling in a fertility clinic's contact form is rarely the first thing you have done. By the time most patients reach us, they have spent months, sometimes years, researching at midnight, comparing clinics, reading forums and weighing up whether travelling abroad for treatment is really for them. So we want to be clear about what happens with your enquiry, and what does not.

You will never be pressured. Our consultation is free, and a meaningful number of people we speak to are advised to wait, to try a simpler option first, or to complete tests at home before committing to anything. A treatment plan is only worth having if it is the right one for you, and our specialist will tell you honestly if it is not.

You will speak to medical staff, not a call centre. Your enquiry is reviewed by the clinical team at our fertility unit inside Kamiloglu Hospital, and your video consultation is with the fertility specialist who would actually treat you. The coordinator who first replies to you is the same person who will meet you at the clinic, many of our patients tell us this continuity was the single biggest difference from their experience elsewhere.

You will get real numbers. Your written plan quotes the same all-inclusive package prices we publish on our pricing page, starting from €3,500 for IVF, together with anything specific to your case, and an honest list of the costs that are not included, such as flights and hotels. If you have had treatment before, bring your questions about success rates too: we publish ours by age group with a clear explanation of how they are measured, which you can read on our success rates page.

Your safety question has an answer. If part of you is quietly asking "what happens if something goes wrong while I am abroad?", that is precisely why our clinic operates inside a full-service hospital rather than a standalone centre. Kamiloglu Hospital has surgical theatres, an intensive care unit, an on-site anaesthesia team and 24/7 emergency cover. You are welcome to ask the specialist about this directly during your consultation; we would rather you ask than worry.

Good to Know

Common Questions

The questions we hear most often from people getting in touch for the first time. You will find many more on our full FAQ page.

Yes, completely free, with no obligation and no time limit on your decision. The consultation includes a review of your medical history, a video call with our fertility specialist and a written treatment plan with exact pricing. We believe you should have all the information you need before spending anything, and we never charge for advice. If you decide our clinic is not right for you, that is absolutely fine.
Many patients begin treatment within 4–6 weeks of their first consultation. The timing depends mainly on your menstrual cycle, any preliminary tests needed at home and your travel plans. Egg donation cycles can often start even sooner because there is no waiting list at our clinic, donor matching usually takes one to two weeks. Your coordinator will map the exact dates onto a calendar for you so nothing is left to guesswork.
No referral is needed, you can contact us directly and self-refer, which is normal for fertility treatment abroad. We may ask you to arrange certain blood tests (such as AMH, FSH or infection screening) at your local clinic or a private lab before treatment, and we will give you a precise list of what is needed. If you already have recent results from previous treatment, send them with your enquiry and we will tell you which ones are still valid.
Yes. Our team speaks English, Turkish, German, Arabic and Russian, and your personal coordinator will communicate with you in your preferred language throughout treatment, including medication instructions, consent forms and appointment scheduling. Clear communication matters enormously in fertility care, where a misunderstood dosage or timing can affect a cycle, so we never leave patients relying on translation apps.
You are in very familiar company, a large proportion of our patients come to us after one or more unsuccessful attempts at home. During your free consultation, our specialist will review your previous protocols, medication doses, embryo quality reports and any other records you can share, then explain specifically what we would do differently rather than simply repeating the same approach. We have written an honest guide about this on our Had a Failed IVF? page.
